Jens Kohler in the Kitchen

I had lunch today with fellow SLNC Board Member Jens Kohler (Region 2). We talked about one of my favorite subjects - FOOD!!! Jens has a great recipe for those left over stews and veggie dishes...his own version of Shepard's Pie.

Take those leftovers and put them in a pyrex baking dish. Add some fresh carrots, peas, celery - whatever you have in the fridge. Mix them together, make some good 'ole fashion mashed potatoes - fresh or instant (Jens makes his with whatever potatoes are in the house, leaves the skin on a la rustica) layer on top, dab with butter and pop in an oven at 375 for 30 - 40 minutes. When the top is a golden brown, dinner is ready.

Jens and his beautiful wife Emily are expecting their first baby - lucky for all, Jens can cook!
